Call it a modern-day ice cream truck that you can hail with your iPhone.
Today is #UberIceCream — a marketing ploy by the ride service app to deliver ice cream to users in more than 400 cities, including Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Uber has chosen to deliver locally-made Jonny Pops frozen treats to Twin Cities dwellers today between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Here's the scoop:
1. Open the Uber app Friday between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
2. Set your location and request "ice cream."
3. If connected, place your order and ice cream will be delivered curbside in minutes.
4. $10 gets you four ice cream treats.
