Address: Southwest corner, Hwy. 212 and County Road 10 (Engler Boulevard)

Type: Medical

Size: 32,400 square feet

Developer: MSP Commercial

Architect: Sperides Reiners Architects

Details: Eagan-based MSP Commercial is continuing a spree of medical office development with a new project in Chaska and an unusual partner — the Hy-Vee grocery chain.

The building will be one of the first in Chaska Creek Business Park, an 83-acre, mixed-used area master-planned by Opus Group. In addition to the medical office and grocery, the park will eventually see industrial buildings and two-story office buildings.

MSP Commercial and Hy-Vee sought city approvals together as a single proposal. Under the plans, the Iowa-based grocer will construct a 105,000-square-foot main building, gas station and convenience store in the park's northeast corner. The medical office building will be just to the west along Engler and the future Chaska Creek Boulevard.

Its design from Sperides Reiners Architects calls for 32,400 square feet spread across two floors. The multitenant facility will host a variety of medical specialties, include family practice, mental and physical therapy, X-ray and ultrasound diagnostics, a gastrointestinal clinic and an eye clinic. It is meant to serve as a gateway into the business park with "warm, buff building materials" that evoke "the historic quality of Chaska."

MSP Commercial has two new projects in Woodbury and others in River Falls, Wis., Maple Grove, Eagan and Isanti, Minn.
