Details: The Hy-Vee grocery store being built at Ryan Cos.' 610 Zane Business Park in Brooklyn Park is about to get some company: a new office-warehouse for display-maker Star Exhibits.

The Brooklyn Park City Council last month approved plans for the 200,800-square-foot building, the first for an industrial user at the 98-acre park. Ryan in 2014 reached an agreement with the landowner, the Seed family, to buy and build out portions of the site into a business park as users came along.

The Hy-Vee was the first element of 610 Zane to be approved. Now comes the build-to-suit project for Star Exhibits, which lost its lease at a nearby multitenant building and decided to build its own new facility.

Star constructs displays for companies exhibiting at trade shows, conventions and conferences, as well in corporate and retail settings. Its new one-story building will include a combination of office, design, production and warehouse space, with an exterior sporting elements of purple accenting – the company's corporate color.

It will occupy the southwestern corner of the new park. Just to its north is space for two more future office-warehouse buildings totaling 205,000 square feet. Beyond that, fronting Hwy. 610, is acreage planned for a pair of high tech/commercial buildings of 100,000 square feet each.
