Independence Party candidate for governor Tom Horner has released two new TV spots this morning that strike on his earlier theme of eye-catching advertising.

The two ads are aimed directly at Democrats and Republicans who aren't committed to Mark Dayton or Tom Emmer. The first spot, "Elephant in the Room," features an elephant and donkey standing in people's homes.

"A lot of Minnesotans fear living with Republican Tom Emmer because he won't move from the extreme political positions that threaten our state's future," an announcer says. "And Democrat Mark Dayton has such a poor history of doing his own job, how is he going to create jobs for Minnesota?"

The other spot features two people planting lawn signs reading "Democrats for Horner for Minnesota governor" and "Republicans for Horner."
