AARON NEVILLE
Nov. 30-Dec. 1: The Grammy-winning R&B great has used his soft, soulful flutter to interpret two collections of holiday tunes, 1993's "Soulful Christmas" and 2005's "Christmas Prayer." The newer disc is elegantly spiritual, and the other one has a bit of a flavor of his New Orleans hometown. In a two-night club engagement, the musclebound star with the quiet voice will be accompanied by a quintet led by his brother, saxophonist Charles Neville. Here's hoping that Aaron sneaks in one non-seasonal tune, his first hit, 1966's "Tell It Like It Is." (7 p.m. Nov. 30-Dec. 1, Dakota Jazz Club, 1010 Nicollet Mall, Mpls. $55-$90. 612-332-1010.)
