Vikings quarterback Brett Favre was limited in practice today because of an issue with his hip. This is the third time this season Favre has been on the injury report. Favre, who turned 40 on Oct. 10, also has dealt with foot, ankle and knee issues this year.
Favre was one of 10 Vikings on the injury report; four of those players did not practice. Wide receiver Bernard Berrian (left hamstring); linebacker E.J. Henderson (knee) and cornerback Antoine Winfield (right foot) were sidelined with injury issues. Defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy's absence was listed as being not injury related.
Winfield missed last Sunday's game at Pittsburgh because of his injury and it would not be surprising to see him held out until after the Vikings return from their bye week. That will follow Sunday's game in Green Bay. Berrian injured his hamstring late in the second quarter on Sunday against the Steelers while running a go-route and it's not known if he will be able to play. An injury to his right hamstring in the preseason sidelined him for three games.
Henderson did some running at the start of practice today -- as did Berrian -- and it's not certain exactly when he was injured on Sunday.
Also limited in practice today for the Vikings were linebackers Ben Leber (calf) and Jasper Brinkley (hamstring); cornerback Karl Paymah (quadriceps); wide receiver Darius Reynaud (hamstring); and fullback Naufahu Tahi (knee).
For the Packers, quarterback Aaron Rodgers was limited because of a foot injury. Here is the rest of the Packers' injury report:
FB Korey Hall (calf), out; WR Jordy Nelson (knee), out; TE Jermichael Finley (knee) did not practice; S Derrick Martin (hamstring) did not practice; C/G Jason Spitz (back), did not practice; C Scott Wells (not injury related), did not practice; T Chad Clifton (ankle), limited; LB Clay Matthews (jaw), limited; T Mark Tauscher (knee), limited; CB Charles Woodson (hip), limited; and DE Jarius Wynn (hamstring), limited.
