Sheila Wright resigned today as director of the Minnesota Office of Higher Education.
Just got this note from the governor's office:
Sandy Connolly, spokeswoman for the office, said she got a note Wednesday that Wright would be resigning. Wright cleared out her office, thanked the staff for their service and said goodbye. Connolly said it was "fast, but cordial."
Wright wasn't on the job long. Gov. Mark Dayton appointed her in January. Before that, Wright was at Hamline University, where she was dean of its School of Education.
I wrote a bit about her in April. You can read that here.
