A juvenile driver suspected of stealing a cement truck led police on an unusual high-speed chase through Dodge County on Sunday.

Police originally tried to stop the driver for speeding, according to a news release issued by the Dodge County Sheriff's Office.

"He's slamming his hands on the wheel like he stole it or something," an officer said in an audio recording from @PoliceClips on Twitter.

As the chase began, the officer described the cement truck driver as being "all over the road."

Later, he told dispatchers: "He just tried to take out my car. He rubbed the whole passenger side of my squad [car]."

No one was hurt, although two law enforcement vehicles were damaged.

The driver was arrested, and charges are expected to be filed on Monday, Dodge County officials said.

Both the Dodge County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol were involved in the high-speed pursuit, which lasted more than an hour with speeds reaching up to 65 to 70 miles an hour. A State Patrol helicopter hovered overhead for much of the time.

At one point, the cement truck lost a tire — but even with that setback, the chase continued.

The pursuit finally ended in a cul-de-sac in Dodge Center, Minn.
