Hear Here 2017
The Cedar Cultural Center becomes a dance venue this week when Maggie Bergeron & Company team up with composer/bassist Nick Gaudette for a second installment of "Hear Here." Billed as a "live music and movement festival," the evening includes collaborations between Minnesota dance artists and musicians, including Bergeron and Gaudette, choreographer Sharon Picasso and vocalist Queen Drea, and choreographer Margaret Ogas with saxophonist and composer Ivan Cunningham. With both choreographed dance and improvisation, each performance promises a tapestry of experimental movements and sounds. (7:30 p.m. Sat., the Cedar, 416 Cedar Av. S., Mpls., $8-$18, 612-338-2674, thecedar.org)
