Headed to the Twins-Mets series opener Friday? Bundle up

April 12, 2013 at 5:23AM

Advice for fans holding Twins tickets for Friday night's game against the New York Mets: Bundle up.

The club will make every effort to play the game, since the three-game series is the only visit by the Mets to Target Field this season.

"The plan is to play," Twins President Dave St. Peter said Thursday. "The earliest any decision to postpone would come is Friday midday."

The weather figures to be lousy all weekend. The high Friday is 36 degrees, with a chance of snow. But postpone the game and you face Sunday's forecast of rain, and a high of 42.
