Harvin returns

A day after missing practice because of a shoulder injury, the rookie wide receiver was taking part in practice

October 15, 2009 at 6:31PM

Percy Harvin was not able to practice Wednesday because of a shoulder injury suffered in Sunday's victory over the St. Louis Rams, but the rookie wide receiver returned to the field today and took part in the early portion of practice in the Vikings' indoor facility.

Harvin hurt his left shoulder against the Rams after a 19-yard catch in the second quarter but was able to continue.

Right tackle Phil Loadholt also was able to take part in at least a portion of practice for a second consecutive day. Loadholt sat out the Rams game because of a sprained ankle suffered last week in practice. Left guard Steve Hutchinson (back) also is participating but likely will be limited again.

Wide receiver Darius Reynaud (hamstring) is on the field but it didn't appear as if he would do any route running during individual drills. The media only gets to watch practice through individuals so we'll have an update later today when the injury report comes out.
