Percy Harvin missed two games and numerous practices last season as he continued to deal with migraine headaches in his second year in the NFL.

But the wide receiver said Friday he is feeling "pretty good" these days.

"I'm just waiting to get back out there on the field, just getting real anxious right now," Harvin told KELO-TV while in Sioux Falls, S.D., for the second day of a charity function. "We are just playing this waiting game [with the lockout]. As far as my health, I'm fine, 100 percent, in the best shape of my life. I'll be ready to go."

Harvin was vague when asked if there was a certain time he might meet up with quarterback Christian Ponder, the 12th pick in the April draft by the Vikings. Ponder talked to Harvin right after he was drafted and was hoping the receiver would join him and a few teammates for a recent passing camp in Bradenton, Fla., but that did not happen.

Ponder said his understanding was Harvin had lost his cell phone and that created some communication issues.

"I think everybody right now, we're all just playing it by ear," Harvin said when asked if there was a certain time he might workout with Ponder. "Just seeing what all kind of happens. I think our team is kind of spread out. Some people are in Miami, some people are all over. So I think here in the future, we'll get together pretty soon if things don't workout [with the lockout being resolved]."

As for a question about the speculation the Vikings might add a veteran quarterback such as Donovan McNabb, Harvin wasn't going near that.

"We're a believer in our staff and our front office," Harvin said. "They believed in Ponder, they [saw] something in him. I'll get out on the field with him here pretty soon and see what they have seen in him and we'll go from there."
