This Class 3A title game has turned into a defensive struggle, with flags flying everywhere.

New London-Spicer put together an impressie opening drive, with Jake Essler scoring from the 1 to end an eight-play, all-run possession. The Wildcats held GSL to three three-and-outs to open the game, but Glencoe got on the board when Aaron Leuders got behind the defense and Kyler Anderson hit him for a 39-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter.

New London has run 30 plays for 126 yards, and GSL has run 16 plays for 86 yards. New London has hurt itself with six penalties for 46 yards.
