Q I am starting to go bald from my forehead to the crown of my head, but my hair is still thick at the sides and the back. I have started growing that hair longer so I can tie it back in a ponytail. My girlfriend thinks I should keep it short and get a toupee. Which do you prefer?
A Neither. That "skullet" look says "aging hippie." A toupee says "aging lounge lizard." Both draw attention to a balding pate, which rather defeats the purpose. There's only one worse look: the dreaded comb-over.
A short, trim haircut is the stylish and elegant solution.
