The Guthrie Theater is bringing "An Iliad" back for an encore performance in the fall.

The one-person show, adapted from Homer's 'Iliad" by director Lisa Peterson and actor Denis O'Hare, sold out its spring run starring Stephen Yoakam (above). He received near-universal praise for his commanding performance. Here is the Star Tribune review.

The Guthrie veteran returns to the stage, again under the direction of Ben McGovern, as the poet who narrates this one-person play about the costs of war.

"An Iliad" runs Oct. 1-20 at the Guthrie.
