Gophers graduate Charles Buggs has transferred to USC, a source confirmed to the Star Tribune on Thursday. The school announced earlier this month that the 6-9 forward would move on after getting his degree in the spring. Buggs, who averaged 5.9 points and 2.9 rebounds in 24 minutes a game as a redshirt junior last year, appeared to be at the edges of the rotation moving into next season, when the Gophers bring in freshman wing Michael Hurt, transfers Akeem Springs and Davonte Fitzgerald and freshman forward Eric Curry. Buggs will be eligible to play for the Trojans right away under NCAA graduate transfer rules. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
