Gotti pic names its director

He hasn't exactly been on fire lately, and his later work never quite recaptured the skill and charm of his earlier work. There have been some times I've seen his name on the credits and winced, because when his heart isn't in the movie, it just sits there. Have you ever seen "Avalon?" How about "Sphere"? Then you know what I mean.

His next movie is "The Bay," an ecological sci-fi / / horror film. Detais are scant, but slashfilm says:

A movie made of found footage? What an extraordinary concept. If they'd used that approach in "The Godfather," the movie might really have come to life. Here's hoping there's lots of Super-8 and F=VHS home movies in "Gotti."
