The No. 6 Gophers women's hockey team will take a six-game winning streak into a nonconference series vs. Lindenwood this weekend in Wentzville, Mo.

Minnesota swept the Lions 3-0 and 6-2 a year ago in the opening series for both teams. That was the only time the two teams have met.

The Gophers (11-4-1) have two of the top scoring defensemen in Division I in co-captain Sydney Baldwin (three goals, 13 assists for 16 points) and Patti Marshall (1-11—12). Freshman forward Grace Zumwinkle (7-10—17) is the leading scorer.

Minnesota is third in the NCAA on the power play (24.5 percent) and sixth on the penalty kill (89.1 percent).

Sidney Peters and Alex Gulstene have split time in the Gophers' net and have nearly identical statistics. Peters, a senior, has a 2.06 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage. Gulstene, a freshman, is at 2.07 and .911.

Sophomore forwards Taylor Girard (6-6—12) and Cierra Paisley (3-5—8) lead Lindenwood (2-7-1) in scoring. The Lions are a member of College Hockey America, and 14 of the 19 players are from Canada.

The Gophers are 8-0 on the road this season.
