U women set recordThe Gophers women's hockey team won their NCAA- record 16th consecutive road game, 5-1 over Bemidji State.

Five players scored goals for the Gophers. Megan Bozek led the way with a goal and two assists and Amanda Kessel had three assists. Becky Kortum added a goal and an assist.

Diggins wins ski honor

Jessie Diggins of Afton and three U.S. cross-country skiing teammates were chosen as the November team of the month by the U.S. Olympic Committee on Friday after becoming the first American women to win a World Cup cross-country relay medal. Also on Friday, Diggins teamed with Kikkan Randall to win a World Cup team sprint in Quebec City, another first for the Americans.

Diggins, 21, is in her second year on the U.S. team.

Wrestlers win dualThe No. 3 Gophers won their second Big Ten wrestling dual, 33-7 over No. 12 Northwestern at the Sports Pavilion. Two forfeits gave the Gophers 12 points, and they got a technical fall from Kevin Steinhaus at 184 pounds and a major decision by Scott Schiller at 197.
