Their 222 points in the past two games lifted their season average to 83.2 points per game, fifth in the nation and third in the Big Ten; they are averaging a league-high 87.6 in league games. The Gophers' 10 three-pointers Thursday tied the program record of 214 set last year. Since the start of the Big Ten season, Rachel Banham has pushed her scoring average to 26.1 points per game — third in the nation and tops in the Big Ten. Banham has 2,805 career points and needs 14 to pass former Ohio State star Jantel Lavender for second place on the Big Ten's career scoring chart.

About Iowa (15-10, 5-8): The Hawkeyes have lost six of their past eight games, including three in a row to Indiana, Michigan State and Ohio State. Junior G Ally Disterhoft leads the team with 16.9 points per game, and sophomore F Chase Coley — a Minneapolis Washburn graduate — is averaging 11 points and 5.5 rebounds. Senior F Kali Peschel of Sauk Centre, the team's co-captain with Disterhoft, is contributing 5.1 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. Iowa has won seven of the past nine in the series.
