The Gophers volleyball team, No. 8 in the AVCA Division I poll, will wind up the regular season with two home matches over the weekend.
The Gophers (25-4) will face Rutgers (5-25) at 7 p.m. Friday and top-ranked Penn State (27-1) at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
A day will make a big difference. Rutgers hasn't won a Big Ten match this season; Penn State is 17-1 in the Big Ten and has won 17 matches in a row. The Gophers are 14-4 in the Big Ten.
The Gophers will honor seniors Maddie Beal, Alyssa Goehner, Molly Lohman and Dalianliz Rosado after the Penn State match. The four joined the program in 2014 and have been part of a Big Ten title and two NCAA Final Four appearances and have amassed a 103-26 record.
Seedings for the 64-team NCAA tournament will be announced Sunday night. The Gophers stand seventh in national RPI,
