The 11th-ranked Gophers volleyball team completed a season sweep of No. 15 Wisconsin with a four-set victory (25-20, 25-23, 19-25, 25-19) at the Sports Pavilion on Saturday night.

Minnesota (15-3, 7-1 Big Ten) had 61 kills to Wisconsin's 58, and outhit the Badgers .244 to .100. Daly Santana led the Gophers with 21 kills, and Paige Tapp followed with 11 kills and hit for .409. Samantha Seliger-Swenson had 51 assists.

Gophers race to 24th at NCAA venue

Adam Zutz of St. Francis ran the fastest 8-kilometer cross-country race of his Gophers career in leading Minnesota to a 24th-place finish in the Pre-National Meet. The race was at Kentucky's E.P. Sawyer State Park, site of next month's NCAA meet in Louisville.

Zutz, a senior, finished in 23 minutes, 53.51 seconds, bettering his previous 8K best by more than 30 seconds and placing 44th overall. No. 1 Colorado won with 89 points.
