Gophers update: Myrick likely out for season; no word yet on Claeys' future

Gophers cornerback Jalen Myrick was just released from a Columbus hospital with his rib/lung injury. Interim coach Tracy Claeys said it will probably take Myrick 3-4 weeks to heal, adding that he's likely done for the season.

A couple quick notes from Tuesday's news conference:

* Interim coach Tracy Claeys said CB Jalen Myrick was just released from a Columbus hospital with his rib/lung injury. Claeys said it will probably take Myrick 3-4 weeks to heal, adding that he's likely done for the season.

* Claeys said he has yet to hear anything about his future as coach but said he hopes to know more this week. He didn't sound bothered that there hadn't been more dialog to this point, noting how important the Iowa rivalry is.
