The Gophers softball team is having to wait to decide its postseason fate.

Rain delayed and then washed out all of Sunday's games amid concerns about field condition and player safety.

The NCAA tournament regional will resume Monday at Jane Sage Cowles Stadium. Georgia and Drake will play at 10 a.m. to finish their game from Saturday that was stopped because of weather. Georgia led 4-2 in the top of the fifth inning.

The Gophers will play the winner of that game at noon (ESPNU). If they lose, they'll play one more game 30 minutes later. The winner of the regional advances to a super regional, which the Gophers would host if they win.

The Gophers standout safety from Esko gave fans a belief in the program, but big money is out there and you can’t blame players for chasing it.
