The Gophers are moving Saturday morning's scrimmage from TCF Bank Stadium to Sea Foam Stadium at Concordia (St. Paul) because the Vikings have a preseason game that night, against Tampa Bay.
The scrimmage will start at 10:10 a.m., and is free to the public. The Vikings have the stadium all day as part of their lease with the university, and the NFL is strict about what goes on in stadiums in the hours before a game.
The Gophers could have played it at their football complex, but one goal was to incorporate a coaching booth, where the coordinators will be relaying plays to the sideline, etc.
