• Gophers softball senior Sara Moulton was named Big Ten pitcher of the week, the seventh time she has earned the honor. Moulton went 3-0 with 32 strikeouts over 21 consecutive shutout innings, helping the Gophers win all five games they played in Baton Rouge, La. Moulton was named All-Tiger Classic tournament MVP.
• The Gophers women's golf team shot a 287 during the second round of the UCF Classic in Orlando, the team's lowest 18-hole score under third-year coach Michele Redman. The Gophers sit in seventh, 15 shots behind host Central Florida, with one round to play.
• Brian Burgamy signed with the New York Mets after the 32-year-old hit .295 with eight home runs and 25 RBI in 24 games with the St. Paul Saints last season.
