The Gophers men's hockey team named three alternate captains to serve alongside junior captain Justin Kloos for the 2015-2016 season. Juniors Connor Reilly, Hudson Fasching and Jake Bischoff will share the leadership role, the team announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Reilly, a redshirt junior forward, recorded a career-best 11 goals and 16 points in 24 games as a sophomore before suffering a season-ending injury in February. He's schedule to return to the team this fall following his third major injury and surgery of his career.

Fasching, a junior forward, has played a big role on the Gophers' first line since his freshman season. He has 56 points in 78 career games, including 26 points (12 goals, 14 assists) last season. He was named to the All-Big Ten Rookie Team as a freshman and represented the U.S. National Junior Team in each of the past two seasons.

Bischoff, a junior defenseman, brings experience to the blue line. He's played in 64 games and has 18 points (six goals, 12 assists). He was also paired with All-America defenseman Mike Reilly throughout most of his sophomore year, providing a strong defensive presence alongside the team's top offensive producer.

The Gophers open the season against Vermont in the Hall of Fame Game at Mariucci Arena on Oct. 10.
