MADISON, WIS. – Annie Pankowski kept tormenting the Gophers women's hockey team on Saturday.

The sophomore forward, whose goal gave Wisconsin an overtime win Friday, scored two more goals in the second game of the series to lead the Badgers to a 3-1 WCHA women's hockey victory at LaBahn Arena.

She put Wisconsin ahead 1-0 at 16 minutes, 34 seconds of the first period. And then, nearly at the identical time in the second period (16:35), she made it 2-0 Badgers with her 14th goal of the season.

Goalie Ann-Renee Desbiens of No. 1 Wisconsin (18-0, 12-0) did the rest, stopping 23 shots.

Gophers freshman Sarah Potomak cut the Badgers' lead to one goal when she beat Desbiens at 8:12 of the third period. But nothing else got past Desbiens.

Sarah Nurse scored an empty-net goal for Wisconsin with 16 seconds left in the third period.

No. 3 Minnesota (15-3, 11-3) came into the weekend averaging six goals per game and with a 16-0-2 record against the Badgers in their past 18 meetings.

But this weekend the Gophers were swept for the first time since Oct. 29-30, 2010, when they lost twice at Minnesota Duluth.
