Preview: The Gophers (18-7, 6-6) have their most Big Ten road victories since 2004-05, improving to 4-3 in conference away from home after Saturday's 72-63 win at Rutgers. During the three-game winning streak, two victories came on the road. Minnesota still is trying to get to a winning record at home in the Big Ten at 2-3 this season, which includes overtime losses to Michigan State and Wisconsin. Indiana (15-11, 5-8) has lost five of the past six, with its only victory coming 110-102 in triple overtime against Penn State at home.

Players to watch: Sophomore Jordan Murphy, who was named co-Big Ten player of the week Monday, is averaging 21 points, 15 rebounds and two blocks and shooting 64 percent from the field in his past two games. Indiana 6-10 center Thomas Bryant has four 20-point games in conference play this year, including 31 points and 11 rebounds against Penn State on Feb. 1.

Numbers: The Hoosiers have won five of the past seven games in the series, including three in a row. The Gophers' last victory against Indiana was 66-60 on Feb. 8, 2014, in Minneapolis.
