GOP eyes unfinished bonding projects

Republicans are cool to the idea of new borrowing, but said they might be interested in taking money for previously approved projects and using it for new buildings.

DFL Gov. Mark Dayton will unveil his proposal Monday to borrow $1 billion for new construction projects around the state.

Republicans said Friday that they are cool to the idea of new borrowing, but said they might be interested in taking money for previously approved buildings that were never finished and using it for new projects.

They compiled a list of unfinished projects over the last several years totaling hundreds of millions of dollars.

Here's the list of projects that might be eyed for cancelation:
