Gilbert Arenas meeting with David Stern, could know future soon

Gilbert Arenas is meeting face-to-face with NBA commissioner David Stern on Wednesday for the first time since the gun incident that put Arenas' future with the Washington Wizards in doubt.

NBA spokesman Mike Bass confirmed the meeting to The Associated Press.

Arenas -- just as teammate Javaris Crittenton did Tuesday -- is meeting with Stern in what is regarded as the final step before the league announces a finite length to Arenas' indefinite suspension.

Arenas was expected to be accompanied by his legal team and NBA Players Association chief Billy Hunter.

One source told ESPN.com that Arenas' suspension details could be announced as early as Wednesday afternoon because he already has met with league investigators.

Our guess? He is suspended for the rest of this season, traded in the offseason, then is allowed to play at the start of next year as long as there are no further incidents.

Two questions: 1) What would you consider fair punishment? 2) Would you want him on the Timberwolves, basketball-wise or otherwise?
