Get to know Gwen Jorgensen

Born: April 25, 1986

Hometown: Waukesha, Wis. Residence: St. Paul

Family: Parents Joel and Nancy Jorgensen; sister Elizabeth; husband Patrick Lemieux

College: Jorgensen attended the University of Wisconsin, where she earned All-America honors in track and cross-country and was the 2009 Big Ten champion in the 3,000 and 5,000 meters. She also was on the swimming team for three years and won the Big Ten Medal of Honor in 2009.

Off the course: Jorgensen was a tax accountant for Ernst & Young before becoming a full-time triathlete in 2012. She is a fan of the Twin Cities dining scene, lists Yelp as her favorite app and enjoys vacations in Cable, Wis., where she married Lemieux in 2014.
