'The Polarizing Express: Dysfunction Junction'

The names of Brave New Workshop's annual holiday shows may change to match the hot topics du jour, but the humor usually remains predictably fulsome. This year's revue tackles family dynamics, Christmas carols, overindulgence of spirits, and the political climate with an ensemble that includes Lauren Anderson, Taj Ruler and Denzel Belin, working under the direction of comedy guru Caleb McEwen, who has helmed shows at the nation's oldest sketch comedy troupe for two decades. (8 p.m. Fri., 5 & 8 p.m. Sat. Ends Jan. 27. Brave New Workshop, 824 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls. $33-$38. 612-332-6620 or bravenewworkshop.com.)
