Geek out at bowling center for next Pecha Kucha

Formatted lectures focus on beer, board games, hoaxes, more.

Throngs lined up at Intermedia Arts for a previous Pecha Kucha event.

Pecha Kucha is billing its free event at Bryant Lake Bowl this week as an all -geek night.

In PK-land, each presenter gets 20 slides and just under 7 minutes to illuminate audience members about a given topic.

On Thursday (Nov. 18) the presenters/topics are:

Beer Geek: Brock Ray
Hoax Geek: Chris Strouth
Scientist Geek: Benjamin Kjos
Chic Geek: Elizabeth Rose Schneider
Civic Geek: Mike Haeg
Boardgame Geek: Bryan Bornmueller
East Asian Calligraphy Geek: Paula Commerford Negishi
Movie Geek: Pete Basgen

Doors open at 6 p.m. The talks run from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
