Garrison Keillor says he's retiring.

Before you go sobbing into a pan of biscuits, note that he's saying he'll hang it up on "A Prairie Home Companion"....in spring 2013.

Keillor made his remarks to the AARP Bulletin, telling them that "I sure don't want to make a fool of myself and be singing romantic duets with 25-year-old women when I'm 75." Keillor is currentl y68.

Keillor did leave himself a loophole, saying they must find a replacement first. It's also important to remember that Keillor has "retired" from "A Prairie Home Companion" in the past. On the other hand, Keillor did have his first substitute host, Sara Watkins, this past January.

One thing is for sure: The item will sure help move copies of his new book, "Good Poems: American Places."
