Come hear Karen Washington, President of the New York City Community Gardening Coalition

talk about her work advocating for New York City community gardens, and the importance of working in unity. The keynote will be followed by a panel highlighting how local garden projects have helped create solidarity in communities. The days' events also feature spoken word, Aztec dance, 12 different workshops on gardening and urban farming topics, 40+ exhibit tables, and more! The emphasis of the day is on bringing together community gardeners from across the Twin Cities metro area to encourage shared learning and increased connection, which contributes to community garden sustainability. Presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, and sponsored by Mississippi Market Natural Foods Coop, City of Minneapolis Department of Health and Family Support, and other grassroots community partners.
