wolves gameday

7:30 P.M. at San Antonio • AT&T Center • FSN-830 AM

Preview: Saturday's game is the second in a tough five-game stretch for the Wolves, who go on to face Pacific Division leader Golden State and Northwest Division leader Portland — two of the league's top teams — after a one-game trip to San Antonio. Two weeks ago at Target Center, the Spurs beat the Wolves 121-92 in their first meeting this season; in that game, San Antonio outrebounded them 53-34, the Wolves' worst deficit this season on the boards. The Wolves, who lost in overtime to Houston on Friday at Target Center, are 1-4 this season in the second of back-to-back games.

Players to watch: G Tony Parker, the Spurs' leading scorer at 16.6 points per game, left San Antonio's victory Friday at Memphis because of an injured left hamstring, and coach Gregg Popovich said he was unlikely to play Saturday. … F Kawhi Leonard, who was bothered by an eye problem earlier in the season, has heated up in recent weeks. He is averaging 17.1 points over the past seven games. … Wolves F Anthony Bennett reached career highs in points (20), minutes (32) and steals (three) against the Spurs on Nov. 21.

Injuries: Wolves G Kevin Martin (broken wrist), C Nikola Pekovic (sprained wrist), G Ricky Rubio (sprained ankle) and C Ronny Turiaf (sore hip) are out; G Mo Williams (back spasms) and F Shabazz Muhammad (sore ankle) are questionable. Spurs G Parker is doubtful; Patty Mills (right shoulder surgery) and F Tiago Splitter (right calf tightness) are out.
