Preview: The 20-37 Kings were 2-2 since the All-Star break heading into Friday's game against the Lakers in Los Angeles. They had beaten Boston and Denver consecutively before they were clobbered by Houston at home Tuesday. Star center DeMarcus Cousins served a one-game suspension Friday for punching Rockets guard Patrick Beverley in the stomach during that Tuesday game, but he'll be eligible to play Saturday against the Wolves.

Players to watch: Cousins leads the Kings in scoring (22.3 ppg) and rebounding (11.5 rpg). He's one of only three players averaging 22 points and 11 rebounds this season. The others: Kevin Love and Portland's LaMarcus Aldridge. … Forward Rudy Gay — acquired in a December trade — had scored 20 or more points in four of the past five games.

Injuries: Both Wolves C Nikola Pekovic (ankle bursitis) and G Kevin Martin (fractured thumb) say they expect to play. C Ronny Turiaf (knee bone bruise) is out. Kings G Jason Terry is out for the rest of the season (knee).
