Preview: With a 7-0 win at Buffalo on Thursday, the Wild posted its most lopsided victory in history and handed the Sabres their worst home loss since 1977. The Wild hasn't won consecutive games since Nov. 16 and 20 and hasn't won at home vs. a Western Conference opponent since Nov. 16 (Winnipeg). It is 1-3-4 in its past eight at home. The Coyotes have lost three in a row overall and five of their past seven on the road (both wins at 30th-place Edmonton). The Wild won the first two meetings.

Players to watch: Coyotes G Mike Smith will start vs. Devan Dubnyk, who was a Coyote as of three days ago and is the first Wild goalie to record a shutout victory in his debut (18 saves at Buffalo). Smith is last among qualifying goalies (42nd) in goals-against average (3.51) and tied for last with Philadelphia's Ray Emery in save percentage (.885). RW Mikkel Boedker has five goals on his past six shots and a career-best four-game scoring streak. Wild leading scorer Jason Pominville has 22 assists since Nov. 16, tied with Anaheim C Ryan Getzlaf for first in the NHL over that span. … LW Nino Niederreiter has no goals in the past 14 games.

Injuries: Wild D Ryan Suter (suspended), C Mikael Granlund (wrist), D Justin Falk (upper body), G Darcy Kuemper (lower body), D Marco Scandella (upper body) and D Keith Ballard (concussion) are out. Coyotes D Brandon Gormley (lower body) is out, and RW Shane Doan (leg) is day-to-day.
