Preview: The Wild, which lost consecutive road games last week by 3-2 scores in Philadelphia and Washington, hits the road for two games after sweeping a two-game homestand. The Wild, 2-6 all-time in Toronto, squeezed into the Western Conference's top eight for the first time since Jan. 25 and hopes to keep the foot on the gas. The revamped Maple Leafs, the worst team in the NHL, fell 3-2 at Washington on Wednesday, their 10th loss in the past 12 games.

Players to watch: Wild RW Charlie Coyle leads the team with 21 goals and has 11 in the past 18 games. C Erik Haula has five goals and 12 points in the past 12 games after four goals and 11 points in his first 46. LW Nino Niederreiter has five goals and nine points in the past 10 games. RW Jason Pominville has five goals and 12 points in the past eight games. G Devan Dubnyk is 5-6 in his past 11 starts, allowing three or more goals in eight of them. C Leo Komarov leads the Maple Leafs with 18 goals and 35 points.

Numbers: The Wild has at least one power-play goal in 14 of the past 18 games and 11 power-play goals in the past 10 road games after six in the first 22. … The Wild penalty kill has been scored on six of its past 11 chances and 14 of the past 44.

Injuries: Wild LW/RW Jason Zucker (concussion) and D Jonas Brodin (broken foot) are probable. Maple Leafs LW James van Riemsdyk (foot), LW Joffrey Lupul (undisclosed), C Tyler Bozak (upper body) and LW Milan Michalek (finger) are out.
