Preview: The Preds, 4-8-3 in their past 15, are looking for their first home win against Minnesota since Oct. 8, 2013. The Wild won three games in Nashville in the final six weeks of last season. The Wild, which has scored 11 goals in the past two games, has allowed nine in eight games this month. It ranks No. 7 in the NHL defensively and fifth offensively.

Players to watch: Wild C Mikko Koivu is tied for 20th in the NHL with 28 points and has seven points in the past two games. He has 35 points in 36 career games vs. Nashville. Former Pred Ryan Suter has 12 points in 15 games vs. his old team. D Roman Josi leads Nashville with 23 points (eight goals), while Shea Weber leads the Preds' D-corps with nine goals, eight on the power play.

Numbers: These are two of the NHL's worst 3-on-3 overtime teams; the Wild is 1-6, the Preds 0-5.

Injuries: Predators RW Gabriel Bourque (undisclosed) and C Mike Fisher (lower body) are out.
