Preview: With an 8-1-1 record over their past 10 games, the Predators remain the NHL's top team—and they have been particularly dominant on home ice, where they are an NHL-best 26-3-1. The Wild sent forward Michael Keranen back to Iowa. He was scratched four times without making his NHL debut.

Players to watch: Wild G Devan Dubnyk had a short stint in Nashville last season, giving up nine goals in two games before he was traded to Montreal. … Predators D Roman Josi (11 goals, 33 assists) and Shea Weber (14-28) are ranked sixth and seventh in scoring among NHL defensemen.

Numbers: Wild RW Jason Pominville has no points in his past six games, his longest scoring drought since joining the team in April 2013. … Predators C Filip Forsberg leads NHL rookies in goals (21), assists (31), power-play goals (five) and power-play points (17).

Injuries: Wild D Jared Spurgeon (head), LW Jason Zucker (broken collarbone), LW Matt Cooke (sports hernia), LW Ryan Carter (upper body) and D Keith Ballard (concussion) are out. Predators D Ryan Ellis (lower body) is day-to-day, and D Anton Volchenkov (lower body) is out.
