Lynx gameday

7 P.M. VS. washington • No tv, 106.1-FM

Lynx update: Minnesota has lost four of its past six games while nearing the end of a stretch in which the Lynx play six games in 10 nights. The Lynx might be without guard Seimone Augustus, who missed Wednesday's game in Phoenix because of knee bursitis.

The Lynx need to shore up a defense that has allowed opponents to score 50 or more first-half points in three of the past four games. The past two games F Maya Moore has broken out of a shooting slump in a big way, scoring 67 points on 27-for-42 shooting while G Lindsay Whalen has scored 34 points.

Mystics update: After going 4-2 the first six games, the Mystics have lost five of their past six. Three of those losses were by 10 or more points; three also came at home. The Mystics have struggled on offense. They stand 11th in the league in scoring (72.1) and shooting percentage (41.5) and last in three-point shooting (29.8). G Ivory Latta (11.7) is the only Mystics player averaging in double figures in scoring.

Former Minneapolis South star Tayler Hill, who gave birth to a son recently, is not expected to play this season.
