Preview: Spring season champion Minnesota is unbeaten in its first five fall season matches and past nine North American Soccer League matches overall.

United FC at a glance: Forward Christian Ramirez and midfielder Daniel Mendes, who have combined for nine goals in five fall season games, garnered consecutive NASL player of the week awards. Minnesota ranks second in goals with 10 this fall. … Ramirez and Mendes each scored a goal when the Loons beat visiting Indy Eleven 3-2 on May 3. … Earlier this week United added depth by trading for Indy Eleven forward Pedro Mendes. (He is not related to Daniel.) Indy Eleven received cash.

Indy Eleven at a glance: It has been shut out its past two matches but remains dangerous with players such as midfielder José Kléberson and former United forward Mike Ambersley. "It's a challenging match for us," United coach Manny Lagos said. "They are searching for that balance of having a talented roster and getting results on the field." … Jamaican midfielder Jermaine Johnson will miss the match after getting an additional one-game suspension from the league on top of a red card for a dangerous tackle Aug. 6.
