Players to watch: Rachel Banham is averaging 23.9 points per game and is the only player in the country who has scored at least 20 points in all of her team's games this season. The senior guard leads all active college players with 2,394 career points, and needs only 12 more to pass Purdue's MaChelle Joseph for fifth on the Big Ten's career scoring list. Teammate Carlie Wagner is averaging 20 points. … UND's Mia Loyd, the daughter of former Gophers assistant Curtis Loyd and a former DeLaSalle star, was picked the preseason player of the year in the Big Sky. The 5-11 senior forward is averaging 13.9 points and 9.7 rebounds. Junior guard Makailah Dyer is scoring a team-high 14.3 points per game.

Numbers: The Gophers are 3-1 all-time against UND, winning 68-55 in their last meeting in Grand Forks on Dec. 10 last year. That was the game in which Banham suffered a season-ending knee injury. … There are nine Minnesotans on the Fighting Hawks' roster and ex-Gopher Jackie Voigt is an assistant coach. … The Gophers are averaging 79.7 points per game, opponents 71.4 points. … Minnesota is committing just 12.1 fouls per game, the lowest among Big Ten teams and the fourth lowest in the country.
