The Raptors lead the conference in rushing (1,326 yards) and rank second in passing (1,091). Mounds View is fourth in total offense (294.8 yards per game). Defensively, the teams are a formidable combination. East Ridge (115.7 yards per game allowed) is No. 1, followed by the Mustangs (186.3).
Tougher competition tonight: Both East Ridge and Mounds View have feasted on several weaker opponents this fall. The combined record of their Minnesota opponents is 21-45. Mounds View lost at Menasha, Wis., last week.
Green to commit Wednesday: East Ridge junior Seth Green, listed by Rivals.com as the country's No. 8 dual-threat quarterback, plans to verbally commit Wednesday to Michigan State, Minnesota or Oregon. The ceremony begins at 7:45 a.m. in the cafeteria of East Ridge High School in Woodbury.
