Preview: The Wild's nine-game point streak came to an end Saturday in Nashville with a regulation loss, the team's first since Nov. 27. That point streak began Nov. 30 when the Wild blew a three-goal, third-period lead at home against Dallas. The Stars went on to win in overtime, the second time this season Dallas took an overtime win from the Wild. The NHL- and Central Division-leading Stars, coming off a 6-2 pounding of Montreal, are 7-2-2 in their past 11, 5-2-2 this month.

Players to watch: Wild LW Zach Parise has four goals and six assists during a seven-game point streak. He has 25 points in 19 games all-time vs. the Stars. LW Nino Niederreiter has no goals in 15 games, the last one coming Nov. 14 at Dallas when a puck deflected in off his body. Stars LW Jamie Benn, who leads the NHL with 22 goals, leads Dallas with 20 points in 23 games vs. the Wild. C Tyler Seguin, second in the NHL with 44 points, has 13 points in 12 games vs. the Wild and scored one of two Dallas overtime winners against Minnesota last month. The other was by John Klingberg, the NHL's second-leading scorer among defensemen with 31 points.

Numbers: The Wild ranks second at home in the NHL on the power play (27.8 percent). … The Stars lead the NHL with 3.42 goals per game and 32.2 shots per game and rank third on the power play (22.7 percent).

Injuries: Both teams are healthy.
