Gameday: Lynx vs. Tulsa Shock

August 18, 2012 at 11:00PM

Preview: Refresh weekend continues tonight with another visit from a struggling opponent. After cruising by the Eastern Conference's last-place Washington Mystics on Friday night 98-69, the Lynx play the Western Conference's last-place Tulsa Shock. Their final two games before the Olympic break were against Tulsa, both double-digit victories.

Lynx at a glance: Friday's return to the court after the 36-day Olympics break was a one-sided affair that featured five Lynx in double figures and a season-high 29 assists. Point guard Lindsay Whalen contributed nine of the assists. The Lynx now own the WNBA's best record at 16-4.

Shock at a glance: The Lynx started the Shock's three-game losing streak and are the last team Tulsa wants to see. Tulsa has yet to win on the road this season (0-7) and has the worst record in the league (3-16). If the Shock hopes to change this trend, the team's leading scorer Ivory Latta must find a way to score.

The WNBA's newest proposal to the players' union that was delivered Friday made small increases to its revenue sharing offer and concessions on housing according to two people familiar with the negotiations.
