Macura, Panthers surge with second-half spurt • LAKEVILLE NORTH 68, BLOOMINGTON JEFFERSON 50: The Panthers led by only two at the break but turned on the jets with a 37-21 second-half run to defeat the Jaguars on Friday night. Teammates J.P. Macura (game-high 32 points) and Grant Erickson (21) combined to outscore the Jaguars.

• CRISTO REY JESUIT 76, MINNESOTA TRANSITIONS CHARTER 73: Cristo Rey Jesuit needed nearly every point of its 54-33 second-half run to overcome such a slow first half (40-22 halftime deficit). Cristo was led by Davonte Smith's 26 points, while Transitions had Lewis McCaleb (29) and Willie Parrish (21) over 20.

• MINNEAPOLIS HENRY 73, MINNEAPOLIS WASHBURN 68: Only five players had baskets for Henry -- led by Darius Hill's game-high 28 points -- but it was an efficient scoring night for those five as the Patriots defeated the Millers. Four Millers registered in double figures, with Nick Anderson and George Clark each leading the way with 12.

• CHAMPLIN PARK 79, ANOKA 56: A double-double from Brennan Witt and 17 points from Zach Johnson spurred the Rebels to a 23-point victory over cross-river rivals the Tornadoes. The Tornadoes kept it close in the first half but were outscored 38-20 in the second half. Torry Ledin led the Tornadoes with 17 points.

• WAYZATA 62, HOLY FAMILY 49: Zach Robertson accounted for over half of the Trojans' offensive output, scoring 33 points in the victory over the Fire. No other Trojans player had over eight points, while Joe Hanel led the Fire with 19.

• ANDOVER 63, CAMBRIDGE-ISANTI 55: Connor Wilkie's game-high 24 points led the way for the Huskies against the Bluejackets. Teammate Jake McNallan chipped in 12, while the Bluejackets trio of Aaron Allen, Matt Swanson and Kyle McDonald combined for 40.

• ROSEVILLE 74, STILLWATER 54: Mackenzie Johnson had 22 points as the Raiders beat the Ponies. Matt Anderson led the Ponies with 15 points, with teammate Andrew Duxbury adding 14. The Raiders moved to 12-1 with the victory.

• ST. PAUL HUMBOLDT 67, ST. PAUL ACADEMY 63: Faced with an eight-point halftime deficit, the Hawks kicked it into gear in the second half, outscoring the Spartans by 12 points and taking home a victory. Leo Wade paced the Hawks with 21 points and was helped by teammate Malique Adams-Virnig, who added 20. Dalante Peyton had 21 points for the Spartans.

GIRLS' BASKETBALL

DeLaSalle gets coach her 400th victory • DELASALLE 67, BRECK 33: With the victory, Islanders coach Faith Johnson Patterson reached the 400-victory mark for her career. The win featured a trio of high scorers for the Islanders, with Allina Starr (16), Natalie Eull (14) and Tyseanna Johnson (14) leading the way. Raven DuBois scored 15 points for the Mustangs in the loss.

• BLAKE 42, MOUNDS PARK ACADEMY 29: The Bears, on the strength of 15 points from Sarah Waldfogel, won a low-scoring contest. Only three players scored in double figures in the game, with Lauren Reimers pacing the Panthers will 11.

• SIMLEY 57, NORTH ST. PAUL 36: The Spartans raced out to a 33-16 halftime lead and never relinquished it in a 21-point victory. Abby Kain scored 15, Kylie Brown 14 and Alexis Boyd-Lockett 13 for Simley. Rachel Dreyer paced the Polars with 14.

• PARK CENTER 66, TOTINO-GRACE 45: The Pirates went into halftime leading 43-27 and pulled off a 21-point victory over the Eagles. Madison Soukop of Totino led all scorers with 19, while the Pirates boasted a trio of scorers in double figures, paced by Cayla McMorris' 17.

• HILL-MURRAY 63, MAHTOMEDI 35: The Pioneers played a pair of nearly identical halves offensively, scoring 32 in the first and 31 in the second. The Pioneers' offensive output was sparked by a game-high 24 points from Olivia Graskewicz. Ali Greene had 14 for the Zephyrs.

• BLOOMINGTON KENNEDY 70, LAKEVILLE SOUTH 61: The Eagles continued their season-long stellar play with a victory over the Cougars. The Eagles were led by Jasmyn Martin's 22 points and Jade Martin's 21. The Cougars had a high-scoring duo of their own, as Katie Quandt (20) and Grayson Schroeder (19) nearly matched the Martins.

• RICHFIELD 76, TARTAN 50: Tia Albert accounted for 36 of the Titans' 50 points, but it wasn't enough as the Spartans emerged victorious. For the Spartans, Jessica January had 20 points, with teammate Kyla Adams chipping in 19.

BOYS' HOCKEY

Third-period barrage lifts Orono past White Hawks • ORONO 4, MOUND-WESTONKA 0: Three third-period goals effectively blew open what was a closely contested game, as the Spartans shut out the White Hawks. Zach Grochowski, Alex Gross, Derek Limesand and Gavin Payne each scored a goal, and goalie Ryan Breon turned away all 17 White Hawks shots.

Edina boys, Minnetonka girls win at Buck Hill • The 1-2 punch of Coleman Foley and Spencer Knack, who finished fifth and sixth, lifted Edina to the team championship of the Buck Hill Invitational on Friday. Eagan/Eastview was second, led by boys' individual champion Tommy Anderson, who survived the wet, sloppy course with a combined time off 44.19 seconds for his two slalom runs. Stillwater took third.

In the girls' race, Minnetonka placed four skiers among the top 21, led by Anne Ewald's sixth-place finish, to beat Lakeville North for the team title. Individual honors went to Bloomington Jefferson's Isabelle Iwen, who was the only girl to complete both runs in under 24 seconds and posted a combined time of 46.74 seconds. Mounds View's Juliana Damberg finished second.
