• MICHIGAN STATE 4, WISCONSIN 3: Justin Hoomaian's first goal of the season, with 3:13 left to play, gave the host Spartans (5-9-2, 1-2) the victory over the Badgers (3-7-5, 0-2-1). Matthew Freytag gave Wisconsin a 3-1 lead midway through the second, but Michigan State answered with a goal 48 seconds later.

• PENN STATE 4, PRINCETON 3: Tommy Olczyk had a hat trick as the No. 16 Nittany Lions (11-2-3) edged the visiting Tigers (4-9). Penn State was 2-for-3 on the power play and David Glen had a shorthanded goal. Princeton trailed 4-0 going into the third period but scored three times in the first 7½ minutes.

• NORTH DAKOTA 3, MINNESOTA DULUTH 0: Cam Johnson made 40 saves as the No. 4 Fighting Hawks (15-2-2, 8-1) beat the No. 17 Bulldogs (7-6-3, 4-4-1) in Duluth despite being outshot 40-22. Brock Boeser and Shane Gersich scored in the opening period for UND and Joel Janatuinen in the second.

• ST. CLOUD STATE 5, DENVER 2: The No. 6 Huskies (13-4, 7-2) scored three goals in the third period to break a 2-2 tie and beat the No. 11 Pioneers (7-6-2, 3-3-1) in Denver. Joey Benik got the game-winner at 14:14, and 40 seconds later Kalle Kossila got his second goal of the game.

• MINNESOTA STATE MANKATO 2, ALABAMA HUNTSVILLE 1: The No. 20 Mavericks (9-6-4, 8-1-4) edged the visiting Chargers (3-10-2, 2-9-2) on two goals in the third period. Michael Huntebrinker tied it 1-1 at 1:06. Teddy Blueger got the winner at 16:20.

• BOWLING GREEN 4, BEMIDJI STATE 1: The No. 14 Falcons (10-3-5, 7-2-4) scored two goals in the first period and two goals in the third to beat the Beavers (5-8-3, 4-7-2) in Bemidji.
